セミナー概要
The widespread impacts of disasters are well known—but typically these impacts vary for different population groups. This presentation will highlight some of the unique challenges for adult females as well as children and young people. We will include findings from research conducted in Australia and from systematic reviews of the international literature about long term disaster mental health impacts. The clinical implications of these gender and age differences will be explored through the lens of treatment and management approaches trialed in the Australian context. Opportunities for collaborative partnerships in these domains will be identified.
